About me

Below you will find out a little more about me & my business 'Bump Baby and Me'

I am the proud mum to my two little girls Ayla & Robyn, wife to my husband Steve and along with running pre/postnatal classes & workshops, I am the resident Pregnancy, Baby & Parenting blogger for TV3's Ireland AM / Xposé.ie. If you fancy a read, you can follow my blogs through their website  www.tv3.ie , on their Facebook page or through my Facebook page.

I am a qualified pregnancy & postnatal yoga teacher through The Elbow Room in Dublin and I teach 'Positive Birth Pregnancy yoga' and 'Mum & Baby Postnatal Yoga' to mums & mums-to-be.  I have a huge interest in fitness and wellbeing and when I'm not teaching classes I train locally in my husbands Strength & Conditioning gym 'Performance Therapy Ireland' or 'PTI' for short.  I love to bring elements from the gym into my yoga classes, so they become more than your normal pre/postnatal yoga class! PTI run some really safe & effective programmes for all levels of fitness & the coaches there have a wealth of knowledge in the areas of Prenatal & Postnatal wellness. I was able to safely train through both my pregnancies and return to training quickly afterwards- a testiment to the great coaches there!

I am also a qualified Infant Massage Instructor through Baby Massage Ireland and truly believe in the benefits that baby massage can offer. Learning this special routine gives parents practical & helpful tools to use, not only during their early parenting days, but in the years that follow too.

Preparing your mind for your baby's birth and for the postnatal period is of huge importance. I offer bespoke Birth / Postnatal Consults where we explore lots of different ways to have you prepared for your baby's birth and the  'Forth Trimester' (the three months after birth). We will focus on what's important to you, your partner and your baby when we look at Birth Preferences and we'll also look at what physical, mental and emotional tools you can use to help you in your labour and again in those early postnatal weeks. Researching all the different options and feeling prepared antenatally takes away a lot of the 'fear of the unknown'. These consults not only focus on preparing you for a positive birth experience, no matter what comes your way on the big day; the aim is to also have you confident in your ability as a new parent and really excited about it too!

In order to fully support women and their families, I trained as a Birth & Postpatrum Doula and I am a member of the Doula Association of Ireland. I love working with families, offering them a bespoke service, empowering them to thrive, not just survive, when it comes to their birth and early parenting days.

My work allows me to be surrounded by women experiencing the highs and sometimes lows of pregnancy and motherhood. Being involved with women & their families at this important stage is truly a privilege and I look forward to meeting and hopefully supporting some of you along this exciting & life-changing journey!
